How to… Redirect your home page
If you want to use GoTryTHIS to redirect your home page to another site, such as redirecting www.mysite.com to www.yoursite.com, you simply create a GoTryTHIS link like this:
Redirect: www.mysite.com/index.html
To URL: www.yoursite.com
Note: You will need to remove or rename the actual file, /index.html for this to work.
Here’s the article marketing hack.
EzineArticles.com editorial guidelines WILL let you forward to an affiliate link from
http://www.mysite.com/
but WON’T let you forward to an affiliate link from
http://www.mysite.com/index.html
So, to use this with article marketing.
1. Go into your cpanel
http://www.mysite.com/cpanel
2. Under Domains, click on Redirects
3. Redirect http://mysite.com/ to http://mysite.com/index.html
(and choose to 301redirect)
4. Then in your articles, use http://mysite.com/ to hyperlink your anchor text or for the naked link
(your host will redirect http://mysite.com to http://mysite.com/index.html and GTT will redirect to the affiliate link)

Hi John
The link that you added on this topic goes to a page that says
“Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”
I was hoping to be able to see what you wrote on this topic as it pertains to my situation right now as you know.
In the instructions above I guess I am missing something because it is my understanding the host defaults to index.html to begin with so it would not even recognize http://mysite.com/ as something different. In other words this is what users put in as an Url to begin with and they end being redirected by default to the index.html page unless another is somehow designated as the home page.
Isn’t that true?
The issue here is how to keep ones back link in place for SEO and at the same time making the link in the Text only resource box an active track able link through GTT all the while the link is made to look like the actual URL ie. http://mysite.com/.
Meanwhile I am testing to see how to do this successfully. Looking forward to your directions on this.
Thanks again John for everything.
